Search for new solutions
If the 19th and 20th centuries were marked by excessive production, hyper consumerism, poverty, environmental pollution and exercise of political power, the 21st century will be marked by the pursuit of solutions that will reestablish natural and social balance on a global scale. It is necessary that we treat the current and imminent crises as warnings and certainly not as dangers. We must accept them as challenges and opportunities so that we can build the kind of social and environmental conditions that will guarantee lasting progress and prosperity within the limits of the resources that the planet can offer us.
If we continue to try to solve our problems as in the past, we will get into even more trouble. Because of our irresponsibility we have ourselves and the environment inflicted too much damage that we can continue to tolerate such a societal development that harms all and provides no future. We can simply no longer afford such mistakes. Alternatives to the existing hopeless social development, is needed more than ever before.
